Stems - To help with the flowers accessing water, cut the stems at a 45 degree angle & continue to do this every couple of days. 

Vessel choice- Nowadays, anything goes when selecting the style of vase, so go wild but make sure its SUPER clean.

As cool as a cucumber - Water must be cold, clean & fresh & don't forget to change it regularly.

Heat & light - No, they don't like to be near a radiator & also best to keep out of bright, warm sunny spots.

Lastly... - No doubt your bouquet will be a combination of different flowers - the softer ones will not last as long as the more stronger stems so remove, refresh & restyle.
